All jokes aside, it is finally here! I’ve finally done some serious homework and after searching and searching and searching, I have finally created this ultimate list of the BEST OF THE BEST wedding themes in order to provide all of you, my dear readers, and brides/grooms-to-be, with proper and concise inspiration. Without further ado, here are the top five wedding theme ideas for 2019.
1. Beach wedding
Love it or loathe it, a beach wedding is something that has always been and will always be on the top of the pedestal of ultimate romance. Who could resist white sands and the sound of waves, especially while you are exchanging your “I do's”? Besides being so romantic, beach weddings are also ‘laid back’ and more or less easy (and cheap) to organize, which is just another reason why we love them so much. Oh, and speaking of love, how about those beach wedding photos? Sea, sky, sun and sand have always been and forever will be the best background you can have.
2. Vintage

If you are not into sun and sand, you can always go with the beach wedding’s romantic equivalent – the vintage wedding. This theme uses the romanticism of the past and creates sensitivity that will incite nostalgia. After all, some of the best-ever romance novels and movies were set ‘in the past’. You can either go with a full-on vintage theme and put on a vintage dress, book a vintage venue, make vintage-styled invitations – all that jazz, or you can embrace the vintage vibe with just a couple of details such as vintage invitations, vintage décor, etc.
3. Open-space luxury

If you are living in a country with a good climate, an open-space wedding is your best option. That’s why Aussies choose to celebrate their “I do's” in some of the best outdoor restaurants in Sydney where they have the time of their lives. An outdoor wedding combines the freeness of a beach wedding with ultimate luxury, since these venues are usually new and designed in the latest fashion. Not to mention that these venues can usually accommodate both the reception and the ceremony. The mixture of open-air and closed space will set the safe and carefree tone of the overall celebration, which is exactly what you need.
4. Destination wedding

Exchanging your vows and saying your “I do's” in a remote destination is unbelievably romantic. Until the ‘80s, a destination wedding meant marrying in a Las Vegas chapel, but now, there are more and more all-inclusive resorts that are offering all kinds of wedding packages. A destination wedding is the ultimate adventure both of you will remember forever. Sure, it takes a little extra money, time and papers to organize the whole thing, but it will definitely pay off.
5. Bohemian

Ding, ding, calling all my boho brides – if this is something that matches your personal style, it is logical that you should say “I do” with the corresponding wedding theme. And just like your wedding ‘gown’ will probably look, a bohemian wedding should remain carefree, cool, but still beautiful. You can achieve this vibe by incorporating a lot of nature elements and things like oriental rugs and hanging macramés when it comes to decoration, but also keeping it simplistic and elegant, like actress Troian Bellisario did for her 2016 wedding.
